I had someone leave at my Store a Magic Keyboard where a few of the keys no longer function after a liquid spill. It is the model with a Touch ID, so I have been working on a project to convert it into a stand-alone Touch ID sensor for my son, as he has a mechanical keyboard with his Mac mini and would still like the Touch ID feature.

There are quite few 3D-printed case options, the one I chose is this one, which I have printing at the moment.

I have already removed the plastic base from the Magic Keyboard, when the guides mention the ridiculous amount of adhesive they’re not joking!

I’ll post an update when I get the rest done, should be a couple of weekends from now (hopefully).
