Back in 2009 Apple was still in the era of big cats as code names, and so Mac OS X v10.6 had a default wallpaper of a Snow Leopard.

I randomly recalled the other day that the version Apple included had been edited to airbrush out a smear of blood at the corner of its mouth. I went looking to find as good a copy of the original unedited version, here’s one I tracked down.

Funny to compare the two images - note they made the pupils slightly more pronounced as well.
